Pricing - Get a Quote

Each individual project has it own merit and the first question is usually — "How much will it cost?"  The answer is more reasonable than you think. We are small and do not have high overhead costs which enables us to pass it on to our clients.

Before we can give you an estimate we first need to understand your project, budget, schedules and expectations. Please contact us via email at contact@pixdezines.com.

Procedures that we follow:

Our design process is seamless. We have one-on-one simple procedures. You deal directly with the designer from start to completion. The following is an overview of what we do and you become familiar with the ins-and-outs of the creative and production stages of the graphic design process. Our focus is on understanding our clients' need for their marketing goals. This knowledge enables us in developing the most creative, functional and budget conscious solutions.

We will begin with:

Initial Consultation (Free)

We would like to get to know you and your business and find out how we can help you with your project. When we first meet it is important that you bring your current and past marketing materials to the table. You get to tell us what has worked for you and what didn't. You tell us what you are looking for.

I believe in individual attentions, I only take a few clients within one week. I work closely with each client to define the primary parameters of the project, to identify the targeted audience and to tailor the solution to a specific industry. The more we find out about you and what it is you need help with, the better we can estimate the cost of the job. If you feel comfortable with us and may request a written proposal.

Estimate or Written Proposal

After we have gathered all available data from you we present a written estimate/proposal to you, typically within a week. Since this step requires quite a bit of our time we charge a flat rate of $45 for this service. We advise our clients to carefully review the proposal and address any concerns or perhaps necessary revisions to the estimate. If all is agreed upon, the signature and initial deposit of 50% will get us started on the project.

Our Request:

If you are a big firm, we request a designated "Key Contact" person in your organization as the decision maker. This contact should be able to negotiate project parameters, money matters, and the project's timetable.

Research

Our first step into developing a solid creative concept is to have a thorough understanding of your company's products, range of services and competition. For our research we use available data you might provide, like an audit of your competitors' and your company's current communications. In trying to establish a distinct position for your company or one of its products or services, you don't want to mimic a competitor's work or contradict a message your company just sent out. In addition we will use the Internet, libraries, and other sources. We also review potential technological difficulties and limitations.

Concept Development and Design

This is an exciting process, exploring various options and weighing their merits against the communication strategy. Once the concept has been established, the refinement stage begins. Along the way, you see the project evolve, each time becoming more refined. Other creative work such as illustration, or photography usually occurs simultaneously during the refinement process. After we are done we will present to you either a comprehensive layout or storyboard depending on whether we work for print or on a Web site. It is to show:

Structure
Look and Feel
Content Framework

Functionality

Client Review

When we are presenting our comprehensive layout to the person who has final approval authority we will ask you for your input. Once you are satisfied with everything that will go into the final product, including typography, photography, copywriting, paper and colors. Copywriting takes on particular importance because proofreading responsibility rests with you, the client, unless other arrangements have been made. In today's electronic world, desktop publishing allows copy to go directly from word processing to set type. Correcting copy during the word processing stage, rather than later, saves time, money. Our contract allows for two revisions but not author's alterations. Since the approval process may involve more than one client representative, expect changes at each decision-making point. It is important, however, that your key contact person keeps track of and agrees to all changes before we make them.

Second deposit due prior to transmitting final digital file to you or your FTP or on a CD format.
